Indoor Bowler of the Year 2019

Courtney first appeared on the HP radar when she was part of the Parley team that ended our A team’s long unbeaten indoor run in 2014. Courtney came to study at Solent University, where there were many Hursley connections and made the move to us for the 2018 season. She has proved to be a versatile member of the club, often producing  when most needed. Notable performances include digging us out of a hole at 0-2 in the ECB KO against Topsham and sharing an unbeaten partnership of 167 with Sarah Attrill to completely turn the match around. In 2019 Courtney featured in both the first and second eleven as we won both leagues, as well as being part of the Kia Summer Smash success on that memorable day at the Oval. In 2020 Courtney produced an innings of 65 at Alton that is the highest for the club by any player batting at number 7.

In indoor cricket Courtney has proved her worth both with the ball and in the field, taking a hat-trick in the Dresden International Tournament and winning the fielding award for all teams in the SHICL women’s division in 2020.

Courtney has been a great addition to the club, proving her versatility and making many positive contributions to whichever HP team she plays for.

Here are some comments from Courtney:

When did you join Hursley Park ?

I joined Hursley in 2018

Did you play for a different club(s) previously ?

I have previously played for a few different clubs but most recently Chapel Gate Ladies

Why did you join HP ?

I joined Hursley as I wanted to play a higher level of competitive cricket and because I was aware of the team atmosphere they have on and off the pitch.

What do you like most about playing for HP ?

My favourite thing about HP is that there is no division between any of the teams and everyone get so well. Very different to previous teams I have played for!
