Sian came through the junior ranks at Burridge before joining us, and ironically made both her indoor and outdoor debut against her former club.

She did not play regularly for our junior sides, but was a member of the team that lifted the Hampshire Under 16 cup in 2014. She scored a half-century on her Hampshire League debut in 2012 and three more fifties in the 2s in 2013. The 2014 season did not prove as prolific with the bat for Sian but her medium pace bowling produced 21 wickets.

By 2015 Sian was breaking into the 1s, but it was in a 2nd X1 game at Burridge that she really put her former teammates to the sword, sharing a third wicket partnership of 202 with Gemma Harper, and finishing unbeaten on 150, the highest score by an HP player at the time. 2016 saw a maiden Premier League 50 at Finchley, and by now having switched to bowling leg-spin, she still regularly chipped in with wickets.

The 2018 season was one to remember for Sian. She recorded two centuries, as well as an unbeaten 98, and in the first round of the ECB KO, a new competition, joined Sarah Attrill in an opening partnership of 215. Later in that competition her leg spin accounted for five Topsham batters in the regional final. She also claimed four wickets in a Premier League game for the first time. By the end of a long season Sian had scored the most ever runs in a season for HP (838), taken the most ever wickets (36), and equalled the most ever catches (12). Choosing the Player of the Year for 2018 was fairly straightforward.

Although her individual performances did not reach those dizzy heights, Sian was an important part of the team that lifted the Southern Premier League and the Kia Summer Smash in 2019.

Sian has also been a star indoor player for us over the years, scoring nearly 3,000 runs in that format and sharing in many triumphs, including the National title in 2015.

A good all-round cricketer in the three major aspects of the game, Sian also has a claim to fame as the first female to hit a six at the Ageas Bowl (in her Hampshire days). She has been an integral part of our progress in recent years and has also taken on the joint coaching role of our Panthers team. Her partner in crime there is Baz, who she married in 2020.
