Having come up through the Sussex county system, Ariana joined us when she started an Accountancy degree at Solent in September 2019, transferring from Southern League rivals Horsham.

A talented wicket-keeper/batsman - Ariana had already made the county switch from Sussex to Hampshire and been awarded her first professional contract with Southern Vipers.

She immediately threw herself into our indoor programme, captaining a young side at Dummer as well as playing at Eastleigh, and scored just under 400 runs in the indoor season, in addition to claiming five stumpings.

The pandemic prevented Ari making her bow for us in the Southern League, but she was a member of the Hursley Park Pirates side that pipped the Hursley Park Parrots to the Hampshire League title on net run-rate, scoring 79 against Alton in one of the victories.

The highlight of the 2020 summer for Ari was being in the Southern Vipers squad that lifted the inaugural Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy, the final at Edgbaston being shown live on TV.

One of five siblings, who excel at different sports, we are hoping that Ari can enjoy a full first season for us in 2021, a year in which she will again be representing Hampshire and the Southern Vipers.
