The name is almost synonymous with all that has happened at Hursley over the past ten years or so. Hannah joined from Portsmouth Cricket Club in 2010 and has been a cornerstone in our successes since then.
Primarily a slow left-arm bowler with a very idiosyncratic run up, Timmo has also become one of the safest catchers in the club, indicated by her winning the Fielder of the Year award on three occasions. She took four catches in an indoor game against Broadstone in 2016, three in her specialist position in the gully and one caught and bowled.
After one season in the 2s she moved up to the 1s and was part of the team that earned promotion to the Premier League in 2012. She helped claim the Hampshire League title in both 2013 and 2015, but by 2016 had established herself in the first team and captained the side for two years. In 2019 Hannah was the captain in the T20 element of our successful Premier League campaign, and her bowling was crucial to our Kia Summer Smash triumph. In the strange 2020 season she was part of the league winning HP Pirates side.
Although normally near the bottom of the batting line up outdoors she has developed a really good indoor technique which has produced over 2,500 indoor runs. Timmo has earned 20 indoor titles with the club, including being part of the team that lifted the national title at Leicester in 2015. She has also been a part of various six and eight a side tournament wins, and has been on all five HP overseas trips. A level 2 coach, she helps with the coaching of juniors and is also at the forefront of most of the social events! Mum Sally has been teamaker, minibus driver and long-time supporter, and started to play softball cricket for the Panthers in 2019.
Timmo was due to get married to Alex before Covid intervened, but hopefully that will happen soon and start the next chapter of her life. Her bowling has blossomed over the last two years and let’s hope that is the start of even greater success for one of our real stalwarts.
