The ladies section of Hursley Park Cricket Club has been established to provide an enjoyable and safe experience for girls and ladies to develop their individual skills within a competitive team environment. Benefitting from playing at one of Hampshire’s finest venues we have sustained and developed a cricket programme which has grown within fifteen years to be the most successful ladies club in the county. As well as our first eleven having risen to the highest echelons of club cricket in the country (reigning Southern Premier League Champions), our second eleven competes in Division 1 of the Hampshire League (4 times champions) and our juniors have been successful at all ages, including winning the inaugural county under 16 cup in 2014.  Coupled with our many successes in indoor cricket these achievements have underpinned our ambition to become the leading women’s cricket club in the country.

We welcome players of all ages and abilities to come and join the ladies and girls section of Hursley Park Cricket Club. We have a full-on all-year-round programme of competitive and friendly cricket for all. As well as having teams in the National Premier League and Hampshire Cricket League we also play in various small-sided tournaments and friendly matches, and have recently added a social softball team, the Panthers. We have junior girls teams from under 9 through to under 16, entering the Winchester District leagues at all ages, as well as county and national cups. Both juniors and seniors train weekly at our home ground during the summer season, and when summer comes to an end, we switch to a full-on winter schedule.

We also organise overseas club tours and have played in Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Germany and France, with Corfu and Spain on the 2021 itinerary.

Winter: During the winter we have women and girls teams playing competitively at four venues across the county, and are due to have 16 different indoor teams playing in 2021/22. Indoor winter training takes place primarily between the start of the year and Easter.  We have enjoyed many indoor successes over the years and are currently both UK and European indoor champions.
